The couple are also behind The Platform, a much-loved café and restaurant nestled on the historic, heritage-listed railway station platform in Murwillumbah. Located alongside the hugely successful Northern Rivers Rail Trail, The Platform has become a popular stop for both locals and travellers exploring the region.
Beyond dining and events, Hannah also own Fallen Leaf Tea, showcasing their passion for quality ingredients and thoughtful craftsmanship. Fallen Leaf Tea celebrates carefully sourced teas and natural flavours, reflecting the same commitment to quality and connection to nature that defines their hospitality venues.

Local owners Hannah and Toby Bamford have thoughtfully created Apex Dining to reflect the beauty of the surrounding landscape in every dish served. With over 50 years of combined experience delivering quality dining, events, and celebrating local produce from the Tweed region, their passion for the Northern Rivers is at the heart of everything they do.
Hannah, the creative force behind the menus, has long believed that the region’s incredible produce deserves to be showcased and celebrated.
"The region has so much to offer, and this venue allows us to share our experience and passion for it," Hannah says. "We truly hope to make our locals proud of our venues — not only visiting them regularly but also bringing family and friends to experience them. It’s the biggest compliment when our regulars return with travelling guests."
